| The Tulip tables that we offer are faithful reproductions of the 1955 designs by Eero Saarinen, but should not be confused with the Knoll International originals - our very competitive prices reflect this. |

| Eero Saarinen was a contemporary of Charles Eames and in fact they started their design careers with a successful collaboration, to create furniture in moulded wood for the "Organic design in Home Furnishings" competition in the 1930s. |
|
 |
|
While Eames continued to work with moulded plywood, Eero Saarinen swiftly moved on to create unique designs using a whole range of modern materials.
His Pedestal Group of furniture, designed in 1955, has become widely recognised as a modern classic. The Tulip Table and Tulip Chair designs are made of moulded plastic and feature a single central leg supported by a circular base. |

Our reproduction Tulip tables can also be produced using real wood veneer tops on fibreglass bases.
These wood veneers are a special factory order, taking approximately eight to ten weeks to produce. Our special wood veneer finishes include oak, beech, cherry, ash and walnut.
As these are made in our own factory here in the UK, we have the flexibility to produce any size top or material to your specifications. |

To assist those looking for the genuine item, you should look underneath a table for the Knoll badge of authenticity, before buying anything that portrays itself to be an original. |

Here at Scott Howard, we offer two types of Tulip table bases: fibreglass and aluminium.
To demonstrate that the bases are true aluminium, here we show aluminium ingots being turned into Tulip table bases at our smelting plant in the factory. |
