Scott Howard offer a complete range of the chairs designed by Charles & Ray Eames currently available on the market today. These include Herman Miller originals, Vitra authorised originals and a range of Chinese reproductions, which we feel are authentic to the original designs.

The Plastic Side Chair was designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1950. The shell of the chair is connected to the metal frame using shock mounts, resulting in a comfortable seat even over long periods. The chair is a good choice for a wide variety of settings, both indoors and outdoors; for domestic use, restaurants, waiting areas, offices, conference rooms, or even large auditoriums.

In 1950, Charles and Ray Eames had the idea of combining a comfortable seat with different bases in order to achieve the widest use for the chair. The plastic armchair model can even be combined with this maple base to become a rocking chair.
